About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Calibration Engineer to join our technical operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise calibration, performance verification, and maintenance of medical devices and test equipment in strict compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and medical device regulatory standards.
You will play a critical role in ensuring measurement accuracy, technical competence, and data integrity to support our quality assurance and compliance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibration & Verification: Perform technical calibration, testing, and troubleshooting for a range of medical equipment and calibration tools in accordance with established procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- ISO/IEC 17025 Compliance: Maintain laboratory compliance, participate in accreditation assessments, maintain technical documentation, and calculate Measurement Uncertainty (MU) for test methods.
- Metrological Traceability: Ensure all reference standards and equipment maintain full metrological traceability to international standards (SI units).
- Data Management & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive calibration certificates, test reports, and technical documentation with high accuracy.
- Quality & Corrective Actions: Assist in investigating non-conformities, root-cause analyses, and implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPA).
- Equipment & Method Maintenance: Participate in method validation/verification, inter-laboratory comparisons (ILC), and proficiency testing programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in calibration or testing laboratories; prior experience in Medical Devices or an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of metrological principles, measurement uncertainty evaluation, and equipment verification. Familiarity with medical device regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, HSA guidelines) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
