Associate Systems Engineer – IT Service Management / Change Management

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Service Management / Change Management professional to support and drive production change management activities.
You will be responsible for ensuring production changes are properly assessed, approved, communicated, and implemented with minimal risk and business disruption. You will work closely with project managers, production support teams, security specialists, and other stakeholders to maintain effective ITIL-based Change Management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and manage the review and approval of production change requests.
- Assess change requests for risk, impact, dependencies, and potential unintended consequences.
- Provide recommendations to reduce deployment risks and minimise business impact.
- Implement and maintain ITIL-aligned Change Management processes and standards.
- Follow up and track outstanding actions arising from CAB meetings.
- Coordinate and communicate planned system downtime, production changes, and change completion to stakeholders.
- Maintain and update the change control portal, documentation, templates, SOPs, and related information.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Change Management processes.
- Monitor and report on SLA performance and ITSM process metrics.
- Prepare progress reports for initiatives and present updates when required.
- Collaborate with project, production support, security, and other technical teams to ensure effective change governance.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant IT industry experience, including approximately 3–5 years in systems operations management covering Change, Incident and/or Problem Management.
- Strong practical knowledge of ITIL processes, IT Service Management (ITSM), or Service Delivery frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Change Management and CAB processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and professional writing skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to accurately document and track information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of new tasks and challenges.
