Assistant Finance Director

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Director to support the Finance Director in overseeing the organisation’s financial operations, reporting and financial planning. The role will provide strategic financial insights while ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and effective management of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Director in overseeing the overall finance function, financial operations and reporting.
• Lead and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Oversee full-set accounting, AP, AR, GL, cash flow and financial controls.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business planning and management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and other external stakeholders.
• Strengthen internal controls, finance policies and processes to improve efficiency and governance.
• Support cash flow management, working capital planning and financial risk management.
• Review and improve finance processes, systems and reporting frameworks.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team.
• Support the Finance Director and management team on ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives.
