Job Title: Desktop Engineer
Experience: Freshers / 0–1 Year

Job Description

• Provide first-level desktop and end-user support for incidents and service requests received through walk-in and onsite support channels.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, operating system, application, and peripheral-related issues.
• Assist users with Windows OS, MS Outlook, mobile devices, and other commonly used applications.
• Respond promptly to reported incidents, investigate issues, and provide temporary or permanent resolutions where possible.
• Provide regular status updates and escalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support team.
• Maintain ownership of assigned tickets and follow up with users until issues are resolved and closed.
• Accurately document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and relevant information in the ticketing system.
• Deliver a professional and customer-focused support experience.
• Manage user expectations and highlight potential escalations to the Team Lead.
• Assist with basic hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Follow established IT support procedures, service standards, and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Freshers are welcome to apply; prior desktop/end-user support experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Outlook, desktop/laptop hardware, and mobile devices.
• Basic understanding of networking and IT troubleshooting concepts.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
