EHS Intern (Tuas Avenue 2, Jan 2027 Start)

Interns will gain experience in the field of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), while being exposed to multiple forms of manufacturing of Becton Dickinson Tuas Plant Singapore. Learn how to apply Environmental and Safety regulations in a real-world manufacturing environment. Interns will have the opportunity to experience day to day operations, working independently and in teams, to promote an Environmentally Healthy and Safe culture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the write-up and review of safety documents

• Prepare safety presentations for the training of all associates

• Run root cause/corrective action exercises that eliminate safety hazards

• Further develop existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Hazardous Material, Fall Protection, Lock out/Tag out

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Environmental Health and Safety

• Fire Science

• Environmental Science

• Industrial Engineering

• Manufacturing Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Industrial Hygiene

• Ergonomics

• Human Factors

• Manufacturing Technology

• Physiotherapy

• Other related fields

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong data analytical and logical problem-solving skills

• Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge in Power BI & Python

• Advanced proficiency in Excel

• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn

• Can work independently with minimal supervision

• Builds and maintains constructive relationships

Work Arrangements:

5 days (Mon-Fri) onsite at Tuas Avenue 2

Working Hours: 7.45am- 4.45pm
