General Handyman

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team in the Singapore. This is a crucial position that involves providing a wide range of maintenance and repair services to ensure our properties and facilities remain in excellent working condition. You will be responsible for addressing both routine maintenance tasks and ad-hoc repairs, working independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality workmanship. This role offers the opportunity to utilise your diverse technical skills across various trades, contributing directly to the satisfaction of our clients and the upkeep of our assets.

Key responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance tasks including painting, decorating, patching and repairs to walls, ceilings and woodwork

• Carrying out plumbing repairs and installations, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures and maintaining pipes

• Conducting electrical work including installing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures and troubleshooting electrical issues

• Installing, repairing and maintaining locks, doors, hinges and other security-related fixtures

• Assembling furniture and fixtures, and hanging items such as shelves, mirrors and artwork

• Performing carpentry work including building, repairing and replacing wooden structures and components

• Maintaining heating, ventilation and cooling systems, including changing filters and performing basic troubleshooting

• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely completion

• Inspecting facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and potential issues before they become serious problems

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role, ideally with at least 1 years' experience

• Competency across multiple trades including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting and general repairs

• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in maintenance work

• Proficiency in using a wide range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently

• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach to work

• Valid driving licence and access to reliable transport, as the role requires travel within the Central Region

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades such as plumbing or electrical work are advantageous
