Job Description:
Lead systematic troubleshooting of complex plant and equipment issues, working closely with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions, and respond promptly to breakdowns by diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related faults.
Execute preventive, predictive, and accuracy-based maintenance programs, and collaborate with Managers and Superintendents to analyze critical equipment data and provide technical recommendations for performance improvement.
Develop, review, and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and best practices, ensuring machinery, infrastructure, and plant equipment operate optimally with minimal downtime.
Monitor plant maintenance expenditure and drive cost-saving initiatives, including price benchmarking and evaluation of non-OEM services, materials, and spare parts.
Develop and finalize engineering designs and technical documentation, including Management of Change (MOC) and Requests for Approval (RFA) for minor plant modifications.
Interpret plant layouts, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC documentation, and install new equipment, performing post-installation inspections and functional testing to ensure systems operate as designed.
Provide operational maintenance support, including critical spare parts management and troubleshooting support (on-call or on-site).
Implement and enforce site-wide Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures, actively promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
Prepare procurement documentation, including tender specifications, evaluations, and execution support, and manage consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Lead technology and process evaluations and train, guide, and develop maintenance teams to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Assist and support the Manager by providing technical advice, material selection, purchase order support, maintenance history records, and preventive maintenance planning.
Requirements:
At least Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
At least 2-3 years hands-on experience in industrial plant projects, repair, and maintenance.
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of plant process maintenance and a wide range of industrial machinery, including but not limited to:
o Compressors, turbines, boilers, generators
o Blowers, centrifuges, ventilators, condensers
o Motors, pumps, gear systems, heat exchangers, and auxiliary equipmentExperience in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based maintenance environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Highly driven, analytical, and results-oriented, with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
