IT Business Analyst & Application Engineer

MISSION
The Business Analyst Application Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining new applications within the organization. He/She integrates and inter-connects the various applications of the organization, so that they operate in a unified and automated manner. He/She provides support to the end users.
Under the supervision of the IT-Apps Manager, the Business Analyst Application Engineer will perform the following main missions:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management and business Analysis
Plan and integrate new applications into the organization following IT application
lifecycle best practices:
Participate to the functional analysis of needs with various teams (finance, procurement, HR, education teams)
Explore and benchmark solutions
Plan and manage the project
Guarantee clear communication and guidelines with the vendors
Test and coordinate UAT of the selected solution with users
Ensure specifications are met, documentation and deliverables are complete and updated
Deploy and train the relevant stakeholders (support team, managers, end-users)
Data Integration and Automation
Ensure connectivity, dataflow and automation between the existing applications:
Study current data flows and data mapping and propose automation
Setup and maintain the interfaces between the applications
Monitor data security and data flows to ensure data is up to date in all the systems and database
Setup dashboards and automated reporting to feed pertinent data to stakeholder
Maintain source code and interfaces documentation
Application Support
Provide Ensure the support level 2 to the end users and subsequent continuous improvements.
Identify and provide SOP for the level 1 helpdesk.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience would be an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT applications, business analysis, application support, or systems integration.
Hands-on experience with Workday, preferably in a functional, technical, integration, or application support role.
Experience in implementing, configuring, supporting, or improving business applications.
Experience analysing business requirements and working with users and vendors to deliver application solutions.
Experience with automation, AI tools, workflow automation, or process improvement.
Experience with system integrations, data flows, APIs, or interfaces would be an advantage.
Experience providing Level 2 application support and troubleshooting user issues.
Experience in an educational environment would be an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of Workday and its application/integration environment.
Understanding of data flows, system integration, APIs, and data mapping.
Knowledge of AI and automation tools and their practical application to improve business processes.
Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and common business applications.
Good knowledge of SQL, databases, or python scripting would be an advantage.
Good understanding of data protection, cybersecurity, and secure handling of organisational data.

Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Work Hours: 42 hours per week
Remuneration: Remuneration based on experience and the IFS salary scale
Benefits: Health insurance coverage for employees, along with other benefits as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Leaves Entitlement: The employee will be entitled to leave benefits in accordance with the IFS Leave Policy and applicable Singapore employment regulations
Language Skills: Proficiency in French and English would be an advantage
LINE MANAGER
Direct Supervisor: IT Apps Manager or any other person designated by the School
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal Relationships: Works closely with the IT team, HR, Finance, Procurement, Education teams, and other administrative and operational departments to understand business needs, support applications, improve processes, and ensure effective use of Workday and other business systems.
External Relationships: Works closely with Workday partners, implementation consultants, and other external IT service providers to support application implementation, integrations, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement.
