Phlebotomist (ID: 702534)

Our established client within the public healthcare setting in the West is seeking to hire a full-time Phlebotomist to join their team!

• 5.5 days office hours
• Stable career progression within public healthcare sector
• Annual AWS + PB (up to 4 months)

Responsibilities:

• Provide fast, skillful and accurate blood collection for patients using venipuncture, capillary and heel-prick
• Perform phlebotomy, ECG, spirometry in an accurate, efficient and professional way
• Ensure work area is clean and tidy. Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines
• Ensure 2 identifier is performed for every patient prior to collection before performing test for patients
• Ensure proper documentation for traceability and in adherence to good documentation practices.
• Ensure compliance to workplace safety, hand hygiene and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements of the laboratory.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all external and internal clients (patients, doctors, vendors) over the counter or on the phone

Requirements

• Recognised N/O Level/ITE Certificate/Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Health Sciences or a Certificate in phlebotomy
• Experienced in performing phlebotomy in a fast-paced environment
• Have a compassionate, caring, and friendly attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
