Civil Engineer

Salary range – S$4,000.00 to S$6,000.00

Job Description – Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

- Project site management mainly related to Steel Structure / Metal / RC / Architectural works

- Manage and handle on-site technical matters

- To prepare site related forms like Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, etc

- Coordination with personnel from both main-contractors and sub-contractors

- Coordination with Professional Engineers

- Coordination with relevant Government agencies like LTA, SMRT, SCDF, etc

- Ensure project is executed in accordance with the construction standards and specifications

- Ensure project is on schedule and within budget

- To do on-site measurements and tally the measurements to drawings

- To prepare / amend / study shop-drawings and give comments

- To make sure all site staff attend the Tool Box Meetings (TBM)

- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Senior Management

Requirements

- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course

- Has at least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field

- Has experience working for LTA projects / high-rise buildings / reinforced concrete works
- Must be able to understand and prepare rebar Bar-Bending Schedule

- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel in particular)

- Must have good interpersonal / social skills to explain, communicate, liaise, negotiate with the Senior Management, own construction team, and main-contractors and/or subcontractors
