Loss Prevention Officer

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Loss Prevention Executive is responsible for safeguarding company assets, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers and employees. This role involves monitoring store operations, investigating incidents, and implementing strategies to minimize theft, fraud, and operational losses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor daily store operations to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits of cash handling, inventory, and security system
• Oversee CCTV and other monitoring systems to detect suspicious activities.
• Investigate theft, fraud, and policy violations, preparing detailed incident reports.
• Liaise with law enforcement when necessary
• Educate staff on loss prevention techniques and company policies.
• Conduct workshops to raise awareness about theft prevention and safety practices.
• Promote a culture of accountability and vigilance among employees
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Support emergency response procedures and workplace safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with store management to maintain a secure environment

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, or related field.
• Prior experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using surveillance systems and reporting tools.
• Possesses a valid security officer license
