IT Technical SupportEngineer

Our Client is lookingfor an IT Technical SupportEngineer to join their technical support team, reporting to the Support Manager.

You will provide second-line technicalsupport for our cloud POS solutions across Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

Their customers span the F&B industry, from award-winning cocktail bars and Michelin-starred restaurants to high-volume quick-service and multi-outlet restaurant chains. You will work with a wide range of operating environments, workflows and technical requirements.

The role is primarily based in their local office ,with onsite customer support and project work as required. Support for overseas customers will generally be provided remotely, with physical intervention coordinated through our local IT service partners.

Responsibilities:

Support & Escalation

● Take ownership of incidents escalated and drive them through to resolution.

● Troubleshoot issues across cloudPOS applications and services, POS hardware and peripherals, networking, payment integrations and other integrated systems.

● Investigate system behaviour, configurations, logs and error messages to identify root causes.

● Perform configuration changes and corrective actions where appropriate.

● Use remote-access and diagnostic tools to resolve issues remotely wherever possible.

● Coordinate with local IT partners when onsite intervention is required.

● Escalate product defects or complex issues to development teams, vendors or other technical resources with clear diagnostic information.

POS Projects & Deployment

● Configure, test and troubleshoot POS hardware and software.

● Support new site openings, installations, upgrades and hardware replacements.

● Coordinate with local IT partners on physical installation, cabling, networking and hardware requirements.

● Support implementation and deployment projects as required.

Problem Management & Improvement

● Investigate recurring issues and perform root-cause analysis.

● Document findings, workarounds and resolutions.

● Identify opportunities to reduce repeat incidents and improve system reliability.

● Work with Product, Development, Operations, IT partners and vendors to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

● Experience in POS support, technical support, IT support, managed services or a similar technical role

● Strong practical troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.

● Good understanding of POS hardware, iOS/Android devices and basic networking.

● Experience with POS systems, peripherals or payment technology is highly desirable.

● Comfortable using remote-support and diagnostic tools.

● Able to investigate unfamiliar problems rather than relying solely on predefined procedures.

● Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

● Able to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple incidents.

● Experience in F&B or hospitality technology is an advantage.

● Experience working with IT service providers or vendors is an advantage.
