About this job
Managing daily operations, including staff supervision (scheduling, training, performance), customer service, operational tasks (inventory, cleanliness, equipment maintenance), and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Also contribute to sales targets, manage client feedback, and maintain the overall ambiance and smooth workflow of the shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise massage therapists and front-desk staff, creating efficient work schedules and fostering a positive team environment.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth appointment scheduling, maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises, and managing inventory of supplies and retail products.
- Customer Service: Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring client satisfaction and managing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Service Quality: Ensure therapists adhere to treatment standards, maintain room setups, and handle products hygienically.
- Sales and Reporting: Assist in achieving sales targets and potentially upselling products or services. Track sales, bookings, and generate reports on performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure the shop complies with health and safety regulations and that equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of equipment and the general upkeep of the spa facility to ensure a relaxing and organized environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Leadership & Management Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in the wellness or spa industry.
- Service & Customer-Centricity: Strong awareness and a focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with the massage and wellness industry, including standard service processes.
- Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to enforce them.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, common in the service industry.
