As an Associate / Senior Engineer, youwill join the structural design team as a leading member applying soundengineering principles to deliver a wide range of structural solutions. Yourwork will involve the design and analysis of structural steel, reinforcedconcrete, and prestressed concrete structures for both elevated and underground infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe,efficient, and innovative engineering solutions that meet the projectrequirements and industry standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supported by your manager, you will play a leading role in applying sound engineeringprinciples and relevant standards to deliver engineering designs for reinforcedconcrete, prestressed concrete structures and structural steel, such asbridges, tunnels and MRT stations, in close collaboration with our civil and geotechnical engineering colleagues.

On aday-to-day basis, you will:

• Guide, mentor and supervise junior engineers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality engineering works.
• Develop and lead concept designs, framing arrangements, and construction methodologies for elevated and underground structures.
• Perform detailed structural analyses and design of elevated, underground structures and foundations.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and reports of high quality for client and authority submissions.
• Prepare and deliver concise and technically sound presentations and other engineering communications
• Collaborate with BIM/CAD professionals to prepare accurate models and drawings that comply with project standards and quality requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external project team members to deliver integrated and coordinated engineering solutions.

Additional duties may also include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives and statutory authorities to obtain design approvals and technical clearances.
• Manage the delivery of small projects or lead the structural engineering scope for a portion of a larger project.
• Prepare,coordinate, and deliver high-quality tender submissions, technical proposals and client presentations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in StructuralEngineering.
• Strong understanding of local building codes and international structural design standards.
• High to advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D structural analysis software such as Prokon,STAAD.Pro, SAFE, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis, Midas or similar programs.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the design of underground MRT stations and tunnels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of BIM and drafting software will be an advantage.

• Demonstrated familiarity with local design regulations and working within them.
