Role Overview
The Entertainment Supervisor oversees day-to-day stage operations, rehearsal coordination, and live entertainment production. This role works closely with performers, technical crews, and venue management to ensure seamless show execution, high artistic and operational standards, and strict adherence to schedules.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Talent Supervision & Show Operations
- Supervise performers, cast members, and entertainment crew during rehearsals and live performances.
- Plan and prepare weekly duty rosters, scheduling performer rotations and rehearsal timetables.
- Conduct pre-show briefings to align performers on show cues, technical rundowns, and house protocols.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and overall performance quality, providing constructive feedback to maintain production standards.
- Ensure all performances commence strictly on schedule.
Stage & Production Coordination
- Oversee backstage operations, including green rooms, stage wings, prop management, and costume quick-changes.
- Coordinate with sound, lighting, and audio-visual technicians to guarantee timely performer cues and technical transitions.
- Maintain comprehensive production run sheets, cue lists, and event schedules.
- Coordinate stage setup, changeovers, and strike-downs in accordance with venue safety standards.
- Manage immediate operational troubleshooting or contingencies during live events.
Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between performers, backstage crew, and the Entertainment Manager.
- Compile and submit post-show operational logs, detailing attendance records, technical delays, and performer performance.
- Support the Entertainment Manager with auditions, talent onboarding, and compliance with venue health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in stage management, live entertainment supervision, theatre production, or event operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure live production environments and make quick operational decisions.
- Flexibility to work shift hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on show schedules.
