Job Description – Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Safety Manager to oversee workplace safety, health and environmental (HSE) standards across our operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Singapore’s workplace safety regulations, company policies and safe work procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain effective HSE policies, procedures and programmes.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.

• Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.

• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, MOM requirements and other applicable regulations.

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and HSE training for employees and supervisors.

• Monitor contractors and workers to ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE.

• Maintain HSE records, reports, risk assessments, permits and other required documentation.

• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.

• Promote a strong safety culture and continuously improve workplace safety performance.

• Liaise with management, clients, contractors and relevant authorities on HSE matters.

• Advise supervisors and workers on safe work practices and ensure timely closure of safety findings.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Recognised WSH/Safety qualification with relevant experience in Singapore, Registered WSHO with MOM, NEA - ECO and FSM certified.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor operations.

• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and risk management requirements.

• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Able to conduct safety inspections, investigations and training independently.

• Proficient in preparing HSE reports and documentation.
