STAGE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. To plan or read the plots or themes of all performances and summaries the plots

2. Understand the script and all symbolism of the script

3. Plan and schedule rehearsals

4. Be the person in charge of all the rehearsals including the technical running of the rehearsals

5. Ensure that the rehearsals maintain the artistic directions and if there is a need, to call for extra correctional rehearsals

6. To conduct production meetings and be present in all productions meeting to ensure that all tasks of the production are completed in a timely manner

7. Ensure that the technical crew and the artiste crew communicate frequently to ensure tasks are completed on time

8. Monitor the cost of the productions to ensure that the production is within budget

9. To write a report to the management on the revenue of each production

10. To monitor the audience response to each stage performance and report to management as a feedback for future production

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Require a degree in performing arts or theatrical studies

2. Minimum 3 years of stage management experience

3. Very accurate in planning and coordinating work

4. Good interpersonal and communication skill

5. In depth understanding of Asian Culture performance

6. Knowledge of performing arts is advantageous
