Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Architect with deep expertise in SAP Ariba Security, Access Control, User Administration, and Custom Group Configuration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and governing role-based access models, creating and managing custom groups, defining approval structures, and implementing security best practices across SAP Ariba solutions. Custom groups in SAP Ariba can be used to organize users and inherit permissions from system groups through parent-child relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement SAP Ariba security architecture and access governance models.
- Design, configure, and maintain Custom Groups, System Groups, and Parent-Child Group Relationships.
- Lead user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role assignment activities.
- Design and implement role-based access control (RBAC) across SAP Ariba modules.
- Configure approval workflows using groups and access policies.
- Manage segregation of duties (SoD) and compliance requirements.
- Perform security assessments and access reviews.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate procurement processes into security and authorization models.
- Support SAP Ariba implementations, upgrades, and transformation projects.
- Define standards for user management, group administration, and governance.
- Troubleshoot authorization and access-related issues.
- Lead integration security between SAP Ariba and SAP ECC/S/4HANA.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of SAP experience with 5+ years in SAP Ariba.

- Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
- SAP Business Network
- Experience with:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP ECC
- SAP MM Integration
- SAP CPI/BTP Integration Suite
- Knowledge of audit, compliance, and procurement governance frameworks.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Preferred Skills
- SAP Ariba Administration or SAP Ariba Solution Architect Certification.
- Experience in global procurement transformation programs.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Experience in multi-country access governance models.
- Familiarity with SoD controls and compliance audits.
Responsibilities Around Custom Groups
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide custom group strategy.
- Design group hierarchy and inheritance models.
- Configure child groups to inherit permissions from multiple system groups.
- Define user access based on department, geography, business unit, and procurement function.
- Manage group-based approval routing and workflow controls.
- Establish governance standards for custom group administration and lifecycle management.
