Job Summary

Support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and welfare standards in building and construction projects, driving risk management and accident prevention on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare compliance to meet statutory and aerodrome safety standards
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to align safety efforts and compliance
• Prepare and submit daily situation reports to track site safety status and issues
• Conduct daily inspections of health, safety, and environmental conditions on-site, prepare detailed reports, and follow up with Project Safety Team and contractors to close out findings
• Execute risk assessments and ensure safe working procedures are properly implemented on-site
• Investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms
• Consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with all safety procedures
• Implement and monitor safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Safety Management System
• Identify and highlight training or certification needs to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including at least 2 years with a developer or main contractor
• Experience in developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
