Terminate copper cabling (Cat6/6A) on patch panels, RJ45 keystone jacks, and modular plugs using T568A/T568B standards.
Perform fiber optic fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and connectorization (LC, SC, ST) into Fiber Patch Panels (FDB/FOB).
Dress, organize, and patch network racks, cabinets, and server frames cleanly.
3. Testing & Troubleshooting
Test and certify copper cabling using Fluke LAN testers/analyzers (DSX series) to verify wiremaps, length, cross-talk, and attenuation.
Test fiber optic links using Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) and Visual Fault Locators (VFL).
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve open circuits, shorts, reversed pairs, or high-loss fiber connections.
4. Site Compliance & Documentation
Apply clear, standardized labels to all cables, faceplates, patch panel ports, and racks according to site labeling schedules.
Work closely with site supervisors to review floor plans, schematics, and cable running sheets.
Adhere strictly to site safety rules, risk assessments, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines at all times.
