Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management & System Compliance
• Ensure all quality activities comply with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, corrective/preventive actions (CAR/PAR), and internal audits.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits by customers or certification bodies.
• Prepare and review quality-related documentation such as Control Plans, FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions.
2. Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection
• Oversee quality control for precision metal stamping parts—monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tooling consistency.
• Establish and verify inspection standards and measurement methods (CMM, micrometer, height gauge, vision systems, etc.).
• Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and ensure proper documentation per customer and IATF requirements.
• Ensure timely response to non-conformance issues and coordinate root cause analysis.
3. Process Quality Improvement
• Work closely with Production and Tooling teams to resolve stamping defects such as burrs, deformation, spring-back, or dimensional variance.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa diagram, etc.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives—SPC, CPK, MSA, and DOE (Design of Experiments).
• Evaluate supplier performance and assist in supplier quality audits.
4. Customer & Supplier Quality Interface
• Act as the main quality liaison for customers on product quality, audit requirements, and complaint management.
• Handle customer complaints, prepare 8D reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials and tooling components meet specifications.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
• Perform quality data analysis (e.g., scrap rate, process capability, defect trends) to identify and prevent recurring issues.
• Present regular quality performance reports to management.
• Support PPAP submission and documentation for new or modified parts.
Key Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in precision stamping, metal fabrication, or automotive component manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
• Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and measurement tools.
• Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with customer audits, FAI reports, and corrective action systems.
Preferred Skills (Advantageous)
• Familiarity with automotive OEM customer requirements (e.g., VW, Honda, Toyota, Continental).
• Hands-on experience with precision stamping dies, progressive tooling, or metal forming simulation software.
• Certification in Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 or Six Sigma Green Belt.
