Compliance Officer/ KYC Specialist (Private Banking)

Key Responsibilities

Business & Regulatory Support

• Support the establishment, growth, and ongoing development of the private banking business in Singapore.

• Ensure business activities comply with applicable MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and internal policies.

• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on private banking products, services, and processes.

Policies & Procedures

• Develop and draft private banking AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment, and onboarding policies and procedures.

• Review and update existing policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and business needs.

• Support the implementation of compliance frameworks, controls, and governance processes.

Compliance Advisory

• Provide compliance advice on private banking products and services across the full product range.

• Advise business and control functions on regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and customer onboarding matters.

• Support new product initiatives, business projects, and regulatory change programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in private banking compliance, AML/CFT, business management, legal, or product governance within Singapore.

• Strong knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, KYC/CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment, and onboarding processes.

• Experience drafting policies, procedures, account opening documents, customer agreements, and system requirements.

• Familiarity with private banking products and services, including deposits, FX, financing, insurance and trust referrals, funds, bonds, equities, and structured products.

• Strong analytical, drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are preferred.
