The Operating Theatre Assistant / Healthcare Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting nursing and clinical staff to facilitate the efficient functioning of the operating theatre.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the surgical team to support operations

· Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care

· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in operating and equipment rooms

· Prepare appropriate disinfectants

· Transport patients as needed

· Dispatch specimens to relevant departments

· Prepare and ensure the proper functionality of surgical equipment

· Assist with patient positioning during procedures

· Handle all equipment appropriately and with care

Requirements:

· Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care

· At least 1 year of relevant experience

· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

· Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

· Technical competency in operating theatre procedures and equipment
