Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor M&E works at project sites to ensure smooth and timely execution.
  • Coordinate M&E services with architectural, structural and other trades to identify and resolve clashes and site issues.
  • Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
  • Liaise closely with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and the site team on technical and coordination matters.
  • Monitor subcontractors' work progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Attend site, technical, coordination and progress meetings as required.
  • Follow up on shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, RFIs and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
  • Identify potential technical or coordination issues and work with the project team to implement practical solutions.
  • Assist in monitoring the M&E work programme and highlight potential delays or issues to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate rectification works and follow up on outstanding defects.
  • Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, O&M manuals and project handover documentation.
  • Ensure M&E works are carried out in accordance with project quality and workplace safety requirements.
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant working experience in M&E coordination within the construction, engineering or building industry.
  • Good knowledge of M&E systems and construction/site coordination.
  • Able to read and understand M&E, architectural and structural drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit/Navisworks will be an advantage.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as effectively within a project team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced site environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, codes and authority requirements will be an advantage.
