Merchandising Manager (Based in Indonesia)

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Merchandising Manager to oversee the end-to-end order management process, from product development through shipment. The ideal candidate will serve as the key liaison between buyers, production and shipping teams while leading the merchandising function to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from development stage through final shipment, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for buyers, handling communications, order confirmations, negotiations and product requirements.
• Lead and supervise the merchandising team in managing costing, sourcing, sampling and production timelines.
• Coordinate with technical teams to develop and submit samples, including proto samples, size sets, and pre-production (PP) samples, for buyer approval.
• Prepare garment costings, including fabric consumption calculations and price negotiations for customer approval.
• Manage in-house sourcing of fabrics, trims, and accessories, ensuring timely procurement and supplier coordination.
• Monitor the Time & Action (T&A) calendar to track order progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure products meet required quality standards.
• Coordinate final inspections, shipping schedules and export documentation to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textiles, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in apparel merchandising or garment production.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, production processes and apparel costing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• This role is required to be based in Indonesia.
