Commercial Officer (Cost Controller)

Educational

Qualification:

• A degree or diploma in Engineering and/ or other relevant disciplines.
• 8-10 years experience in project estimation and related commercial functions, preferably within Singapore marine and offshore fabrication industry.
• Strong understanding of costing and commercial activities including handling contracts and variations. Relevant software skills necessary in estimation. Ability to work in close coordination with colleagues in engineering, procurement, and project execution.

Core Responsibilities:

• Bid Preparation: Review tender specifications, prepare estimates including vendor quotes, and all requisite commercial responses, under proposal manager’s guidance.

• Pricing: Participate in and assist proposal manager in presenting the pricing to management and responding to all management queries and recommendations.
• Budget Handover: If successful in securing the project, prepare handover of cost estimates to the project team and assist in building the detailed project budget.
