Senior Staff Nurse - O&G (Woodleigh Clinic)

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused, and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our specialist clinic. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care, patient education, financial counselling, and care coordination to support women throughout their healthcare journey. This role requires strong clinical competencies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Nursing Duties

• Perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and nursing history taking.
• Assist doctors during O&G consultations, examinations, and minor procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.

1. Phlebotomy and Clinical Procedures

• Perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and nursing history taking.
• Assist doctors during O&G consultations, examinations, and minor procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.

1. Patient Education and Counselling

• Educate patients on antenatal, postnatal, gynaecological, and women's health matters.
• Explain treatment plans, investigations, medications, and follow-up requirements.
• Provide guidance on post-procedure care and recovery.
• Address patient concerns and offer emotional support when needed.

1. Financial Counselling

• Explain treatment packages, procedure fees, and payment options to patients.
• Provide financial counselling for maternity packages and gynaecological procedures.
• Liaise with insurance providers, corporate payors, and relevant stakeholders where required.
• Assist patients with claims submissions, supporting documentation, and subsidy schemes.

1. Care Coordination and Case Management

• Coordinate patient appointments, diagnostic investigations, and specialist referrals.
• Ensure timely follow-up and communication of laboratory and diagnostic results.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary care in collaboration with doctors, allied health professionals, and other departments.
• Monitor patient compliance with treatment plans and follow-up schedules.

1. Clinic Operations and Administration

• Support daily clinic operations and workflow management.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment arrangements.
• Maintain inventory and ensure adequate stock levels of medical supplies and equipment.
• Adhere to infection prevention, workplace safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities.

1. Leadership and Mentorship Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior nursing staff and clinic assistants.
• Support staff orientation, training, and competency development.
• Assist in implementing clinical protocols, workflow enhancements, and service improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a nursing resource person within the clinic.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid practising licence recognised by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Nursing.
• Certified and competent in phlebotomy and specimen collection.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in:
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G)
• Women's Health
• Outpatient Specialist Clinics
• Primary Care settings
• Experience in financial counselling, patient billing, insurance claims, and healthcare subsidy schemes will be an advantage.
• Previous supervisory or mentoring experience will be an added advantage.
