Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) cum Drafter shall be responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, preparation of quotations, progress claims, variation orders, and preparation of shop drawings and as-built drawings for waterproofing and construction-related projects. The candidate shall coordinate closely with project, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
A. Quantity Surveying Duties
1. Prepare quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications, and site measurements.
2. Prepare cost estimates, quotations, tender submissions, and budgetary proposals.
3. Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
4. Monitor project costs and maintain cost control records.
5. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
6. Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for material pricing and sourcing.
7. Prepare payment responses and assist in contract administration.
8. Maintain proper records of claims, quotations, and project cost documents.
B. Drafting Duties
1. Prepare waterproofing shop drawings based on approved architectural and structural drawings.
2. Prepare construction details, section drawings, and method statement sketches.
3. Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
4. Amend drawings according to consultant and client comments.
5. Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
6. Maintain drawing registers and ensure all drawings are updated and properly filed.
C. Coordination Duties
1. Liaise with main con ,consultants, architects, main contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
2. Attend project meetings when required.
3. Assist in preparation of technical submissions, material submissions, and method statements.
4. Support project documentation and filing systems.
Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
* Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in Singapore construction industry.
* Experience in waterproofing works will be an added advantage.
* Proficient in AutoCAD.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Knowledge of construction contracts, progress claims, and variation orders.
* Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in waterproofing systems and construction detailing.
* Familiarity with BCA submission requirements and shop drawing preparation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
