Job Overview:
TheProject Manager is responsible for coordinating the planning, execution anddelivery of communications, marketing, public education, branding, digital andevent-related projects. The role manages project timelines, budgets,deliverables, stakeholder requirements and vendor coordination to ensureassigned projects are delivered effectively, within agreed scope and timelines,and in alignment with organisational and communication objectives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Managing relationships with MUIS’ Strategic Units and stakeholders.
- Oversee project documentation and develop comprehensive project/campaign plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, in consultation with senior team members.
- Ensure campaigns align with stakeholders’ communication goals and creative objectives by establishing clear communication channels and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with other team members and coordinate appointed vendors to successfully deliver marketing, public education, and branding campaigns in accordance with agreed scope, timelines, and requirements.
- Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables remain on track and agreed deadlines are met.
- Initiate and participate in procurement processes and maintain comprehensive project documentation for assigned projects. Initiating, participating in Procurement processes, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation pertaining to assigned projects.
Additional Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events in line with agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Upload and update content and work with vendors to ensure the functionality of webpages and mobile applications.
- Curate content for social media, when necessary.
- Any other work assigned by the Reporting Officer or Management Committee.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing, Corporate Communications or Public Relations
- Ability to prioritise and & plan effectively
- Able to conceptualise and produce communications materials to engage the organisation’s target audience
- Excellent written and & verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and creative/design softwares such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, etc
- Familiarity with digital marketing, web content management systems, such as WordPress, and AI tools
- Videography, editing and/or photography skills are a definite advantage
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Resourceful and & enthusiastic
