Technical Sales Specialist (Furniture)

Job Summary

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between client requirements and factory production for our bespoke, customized furniture lines. This role combines technical design, precise site engineering, and production coordination to ensure that custom furniture concepts are structurally viable, accurately measured, and seamlessly manufactured according to strict factory specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Technical Design & Specification Mapping:

• Translate client design concepts into detailed, technically viable furniture blueprints and specification sheets.

• Draft precise production-ready drawings, material breakdowns, and structural configurations for custom furniture pieces.

Site Engineering & Diagnostics:

• Conduct mandatory on-site visits to client premises to perform structural assessments and precise spatial measurements.
• Identify potential site constraints (e.g., uneven flooring, structural pillars, electrical routing) and adjust furniture engineering blueprints accordingly to ensure flawless installation.

Manufacturing & Factory Liaison:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the front-end design phase and the manufacturing plant/suppliers.
• Communicate technical drawings, raw material requirements (woods, metals, fabrics), and hardware specifications directly to the production and purchasing teams.
• Liaise with factory supervisors to oversee the prototyping or fabrication process, ensuring production aligns strictly with the approved technical drawings.

Technical Product Advisory:

• Educate clients and internal teams on the manufacturing constraints, material tolerances, and structural integrity of various furniture designs.
• Advise on alternative fabrication methods or materials to optimize production efficiency and product durability.
