Network Engineer II -12 months contract

• Design and implement network solutions that support organizational growth and evolving business requirements
• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent platforms
• Monitor network performance metrics, analyze trends, and proactively implement solutions to prevent outages and performance degradation
• Troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize downtime
• Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control systems to protect critical assets
• Manage network documentation, maintain configuration standards, and develop best practices for infrastructure management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, security, and application teams to align network solutions with business objectives
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities
• Support network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams regarding network connectivity and performance
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering and infrastructure management
• Advanced knowledge of network architecture, routing protocols, switching technologies, and TCP/IP networking
• Proficiency with enterprise networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
• Strong expertise in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and access control implementations
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, and modern network design principles
• Proven ability to analyze complex network problems and implement efficient, innovative solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
• Experience with network documentation tools and configuration management systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus
• Experience with disaster recovery procedures and business continuity planning is desirable
