Civil Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operations and maintenance of batching plant
• Plan for sufficient manpower and trucks for daily production
• Ensure cost control practices in sludge, W2, diesel, concrete recycling and manpower allocation
• Perform daily checks, maintenance, and arrange necessary repairs for plant equipment
• Receive and ensure accurate pumping of various cement, admixtures and diesel at the batching plant
• Attend coordination meetings and prepare for delivery and concreting arrangements
• Assist with mockup testing and installation of monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality
• Monitor concrete conditions (e.g. surface, temperature) and support proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete
• Support quality checks, defect identification and repair work at batching plant and customer sites
• Liaise with customers to meet expectations and maintain strong relationships
• Ensure concrete quality by following SOPs during production
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings with staff, workers and drivers before commencing the production
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• ITE NITEC / Diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply
• General Welding Certificate with experience in gas cutting
• Experience with working in concrete batching plant /machines maintenance is an advantage
• Singapore Class 3 driving license
• Able to read/ understand and communicate in English
• Willing to work on rotating shift hours
