The role: We are looking for an engaged and passionate DevOps Engineer who is excited by the opportunity to help build systems for our clients while being an important part of our fast-growing Singapore office. At Zuhlke Singapore, we take on innovative projects across many industries and you’ll play a critical role in working closely with clients to develop, test, ship, and run software that meets their needs. You will contribute to the success of our clients while also rapidly learning and further developing your own skills.

• You will be responsible for the development of complex IT architectures in innovative software solutions and for providing strategic-technological advice to our customers.
• You will manage teams from a technical perspective from kick-off to roll-out and will be in close contact with the project management team.
• With your leadership skills, you will win over, inspire and mobilize your project team and our customers for ideas.
• By coaching your team members in Software Engineering and Architecture and in the application of agile principles, you will make a decisive contribution to the success of a wide range of projects.
• With your skills and experience, you will further develop our Zühlke network of experts and work on group-wide initiatives for the continuous improvement of software development.

What’s important to us

• You have a degree in computer science or a related field(bachelor's/master's).
• You value high-quality solutions and want to improve and share your knowledge of the latest technologies every day.
• You have 6+ years of professional experience in software development. With at least 4 years spent in DevOps roles, you gained expertise and are up to date on a wide spectrum of modern technologies and best practices.
• You have in-depth knowledge of managing and running CI/CD platforms (e.g. GitLab, GitHub Actions). You can automate the setup of pipelines with custom runners and with quality & security in mind.
• You have worked on deployment models ranging from on-premise VMs to cloud-native solutions, and container technology is second nature for you. Ideally, you can consult teams on migration strategies for application modernisation.
• Your toolset contains configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, and observability solutions (e.g. Terraform, Octopus Deploy, DataDog, Helm).
• You have hands-on experience with a large cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure) and know related platforms like OpenShift or GovTech's GCC. Certifications or knowledge of multi-cloud and cloud optimisation are a bonus.
• Your own experience in agile application development enables you to lend hands-on support to teams in their DevOps adoption. You know how Internal Developer Platforms & Portals can improve developer experience.
• Your communication skills help you navigate complex organisations on your quest to enable development teams. You understand our clients' needs and your users' pain points and propose effective solutions.
