Job Summary
Provide L2 support and manage enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, and wireless networks. Lead network performance monitoring, upgrades, and project participation to ensure optimal network operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for enterprise network incidents, requests, and changes to ensure timely resolution and minimal downtime
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments to optimize network reliability and performance
- Manage routing and switching infrastructure across multiple sites to maintain seamless connectivity
- Support and administer firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco Firepower to secure network perimeter
- Manage wireless networks using Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki solutions to ensure stable and secure wireless access
- Monitor network performance proactively and address issues to prevent service disruptions
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration backups to maintain network security and stability
- Participate in network implementation, migration, and optimization projects to enhance infrastructure capabilities
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation and operational procedures for consistent network management
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex network issues efficiently
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Proficient in managing switching technologies such as VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, with VxLAN preferred for advanced network segmentation
- Skilled in administering firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Firepower to enforce security policies
- Experienced in managing wireless network solutions from Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki to ensure reliable connectivity
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and QoS protocols for effective network design and troubleshooting
- Proficient in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to detect and resolve network issues
- Knowledgeable in network security best practices to protect enterprise assets
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills to liaise with stakeholders and end-users
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP demonstrating networking expertise
- Security certifications including PCNSA or PCNSE for Palo Alto firewall proficiency
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) certification for wireless network expertise
- Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certification for advanced firewall management
- Exposure to SD-WAN technologies to support modern WAN architectures
- Experience with network automation tools such as Python and Ansible to improve operational efficiency
- Familiarity with cloud networking platforms like AWS and Azure for hybrid network environments
- Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Cisco ISE and ClearPass to enhance network security
