Assistant Accountant (Upper Thomson)

To assist the accountant in maintaining the full set of accounts which include billing, receipts, payments, fixed assets accounting and the monthly or yearly finalisation of accounts and keeping proper accounting records to ensure effective and efficient operations. Prepares the trial balance, basic financial statements and be involved in finance-related projects and systems testing.

• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, account reconciliation, and Revenue Recognition etc.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

• Submit claims to government and other grant agencies.

• Ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal.

• Interact with internal stakeholder to provide financial information and analysis. Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

• Prepare GST reports and GST reconciliation.

• Manage fixed asset accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.

• Any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Accountancy.

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Working knowledge of SAP B1 (good to have).

• Independent and ability to manage work with minimal supervision.

• Detailed and meticulous.

• High proficiency in Excel.
