About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Manager, APAC Strategy and Performance to lead regional strategy development, business performance management and strategic initiative execution across Asia Pacific. Partnering closely with senior leaders, this role will drive strategic planning, monitor business performance, identify growth opportunities and ensure the successful delivery of key regional priorities. The position plays a critical role in translating strategy into action and enabling data-driven decision-making across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the APAC strategic planning process and align regional priorities with enterprise objectives.
- Analyse market trends, business performance and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop strategic recommendations and actionable roadmaps to support growth and profitability.
- Establish and manage performance frameworks, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and executive reporting.
- Drive business reviews, performance discussions and follow-through on strategic actions.
- Oversee a portfolio of strategic initiatives and transformation programs, ensuring benefits are realised.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across countries and business lines to deliver regional priorities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Continuously improve planning, governance, reporting and performance management processes.
- Ensure strategy and performance activities operate within applicable governance, policies, delegations and risk requirements.
- Strengthen planning, review and reporting processes, tools and standards across APAC.
- Promote data integrity, transparent assumptions and responsible handling of commercially sensitive information.
- Maintain awareness of external developments and incorporate relevant insight into plans and forward-looking scenarios.
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in strategy, business performance, transformation, consulting or commercial roles.
- Proven experience working within structured strategic planning frameworks and translating strategy into measurable business outcomes in a complex matrixed or project-based organization, particularly in engineering, consulting, energy, resources or related industries, would be advantageous.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and analytical capability.
- Experience interpreting financial and operational performance data to drive business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in developing high-performing teams and driving organizational change.
- Experience working across multiple APAC markets and managing diverse stakeholder group
