About this job
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Process Integration to lead our technical engagement with external wafer foundry partners across Singapore, Taiwan, and Europe. This role will serve as the primary technical bridge between engineering, process, design, quality, and operations teams and foundry engineering organizations.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving new process installation and qualification, process transfers, yield improvement, wafer-level test and data management, process control, and technical governance across foundry partners. The role requires strong semiconductor/foundry process expertise, excellent cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage complex technical relationships across multiple sites and geographies.
Responsibilities
Lead Foundry Technical Interface – Serve as the primary technical point of contact between internal stakeholders and external foundry partners for wafer fabrication, process engineering, yield, and manufacturing matters.
Process Installation & Qualification – Lead the implementation and qualification of new processes and process modules, from process definition and DOE through pilot lots, capability studies, and production release.
Process Transfer & Second Source – Manage qualified process transfers between foundry sites to support capacity expansion, second-source qualification, and supply-chain resilience while maintaining process and yield equivalence.
Process Control & Documentation – Own process specifications, design rules, process control plans, and related technical documentation to ensure consistent and controlled execution across foundry sites.
Wafer-Level Test & Data Analysis – Define wafer-level test requirements with foundry test engineering and internal characterization teams; monitor parametric data, process health, trends, and excursions.
Yield & Root-Cause Management – Lead cross-functional investigations into yield loss, defectivity, process variation, and parametric drift, driving corrective and preventive actions with foundry partners.
Technical Governance – Establish and lead regular foundry technical reviews, yield reviews, process performance meetings, escalation forums, and technology roadmap discussions.
NPI & Manufacturing Readiness – Partner with design, packaging, quality, and operations teams to ensure new product introductions have a robust path to process qualification, manufacturing readiness, and volume ramp.
Change & Risk Management – Manage engineering changes and foundry process notifications, ensuring appropriate impact assessment, qualification, approvals, documentation, and implementation.
Foundry Strategy & Capacity Planning – Provide technical leadership for foundry sourcing, capacity planning, site selection, risk assessment, and international partner development; travel regularly to partner fabs as required.
Requirements
Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, with a Master’s or Ph.D. preferred, and 15+ years of semiconductor or photonics wafer fabrication experience.
Foundry Expertise – Significant experience working directly with external wafer foundries, including process installation, transfer, qualification, yield improvement, and technical issue resolution.
Process & Manufacturing Knowledge – Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication, process specifications, process control plans, design rules, DOE, SPC, wafer-level testing, parametric data analysis, and engineering change control.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management – Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional and cross-site technical programs while managing senior relationships across foundry engineering, design, quality, operations, and supply-chain organizations.
Communication & Travel – Excellent technical communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to represent our company effectively with international foundry partners and willingness to travel regularly to foundry sites in Asia and Europe.
