Moët Hennessy Travel Retail (TR) works in close relationship with its Duty-Free customers to deliver unique brand experience and elevate travellers’ journey at the top Airports and Downtown stores across the world. We are dedicated to share and promote with passion, our Wines & Spirits portfolio with the travellers.

At MH TR APAC, the Finance Director, acts as a “Key Business Partner” to understand the complex business environment of the region. This role will act as a “Key Functional Leader” for all projects happening in the region and to oversee financial operations and driving financial performance of each market across the APAC region, as well as, to support the management team in implementing GTR Strategy and to influence important decisions in business monitoring and organization.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial management, analysis, and reporting, as well as the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to regional and local teams and as key point of contact for central HQ too. As a strategic business partner, this role manages business controlling, financial and business performance reporting and internal control in order to drive TR APAC performance. This role will also oversee Supply Chain planning and Operations while the Supply Chain organisation evolves and transitions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management across the region

  • Collaborate with executive and operational teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.

  • Provide insights on market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the region, aligned with GTR central Finance and actively contribute in the setting of assumptions (Sell Out, Sell-In, OPEX and CAPEX)

Financial Performance Management / Business Control:

  • Partner with regional and sales teams to establish financial objectives, budgets, and forecasts aligned with business goals and help them achieve financial and operational goals.

  • Monitor, plan, analyze financial performance and operational results; identify areas of improvement, risk & opportunities and provide recommendations for cost optimization, revenue growth, business review and decision-making purposes

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business & financial performance.

  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.

  • Challenge and validate CAPEX requests and follow with a post-mortem performance review

  • Drive Regional RRSP pricing strategy, monthly RSP monitoring & analysis, delivering price list / price updates on time

  • Ensure a relevant Credit Management in line with MHAP DSO guidelines

Financial Analysisand Reporting:

  • Lead the Budget, Risk & Opportunity cycles and the landing for the region: Establish the calendar, provide guidance and support to the markets, rationalize the assumptions.

  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews with actionable recommendations and detailed financial analyses to support business cases, investments, and strategic initiatives.

  • Own volumes, Revenues and MOP (market operating profit) reporting to GTR and MH on a monthly basis for actuals

Data & Systems

  • Drive the culture of data-driven decision marking within TR APAC

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize business opportunities that can be addressed through data analytics and meaningful dashboards

Operations

  • Review and challenge planning cycles and assumptions so that product forecasts support commercial plans, financial targets, and inventory optimization.

  • Support the ongoing evolution of the operating model for Supply Planning & Operations in close collaboration with APAC Supply Chain, ensuring continuity, clarity of responsibilities, and effective cross-functional coordination.

Internal Control

  • Lead the compliance, integrity agenda and ERICA processes (Internal control processes) across the Region, with the support from respective APAC markets and the relevant stakeholders

  • Drive positive audit results and guarantee resolution of audit challenges

  • Set up, streamline, improve and rationalize existing internal processes and implement new processes

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead , coach and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, business partnership and continuous improvement.

  • Review and adapt the roles & responsibilities of the team, depending on the organisation’s evolving needs and constantly having succession planning in mind.

  • Drive the team development and capability building.

    KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

    • At least 10 years’ experience in Finance with strong financial analysis background and have been in a regional role for at least 5 years

    • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, budgeting, forecasting skills with accuracy and attention to detail

    • Experience in pricing, profitability and inventory performance management

    • Self-starter, action and result oriented and continuous improvement mindset

    • Executive presence and ability to contribute effectively as a leadership-team member

    • Ability to manage complexity but being able to simplify in restitution.

    • Ability to manage ambiguity and pressure, highly organized being able to work with limited direction, and able to set and adjust priorities independently

    • Effective communications and presentation skills – ability to prepare and deliver presentations to senior management

    • Ability to establish and maintain meaningful working relationships with different stakeholders

    • Strong interpersonal skills and able to connect with people from different cultures

    • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, guide, and build consensus across regional, market, and central leadership teams

    • Inspiring people leader, with a proven track record of coaching, developing, and leading high-performing finance teams

    • Demonstrated success in driving process, reporting or systems transformation

    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Cognos, PowerBI) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
