1. SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Group Project Quality Director plays a fundamental role in ensuring technical excellence throughout the entire project lifecycle. This position works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain, enhance, and ensure quality standards, compliance, and overall delivery success. The mission includes understanding and ensuring strict adherence to project requirements against client specifications and standards, as well as validating documentation and inspection procedures. Additionally, the professional acts as a facilitator for continuous improvement in the area.
2. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical and Compliance Governance:
- Establish Global Quality Frameworks: Define and oversee the overarching governance for technical inspections and compliance, ensuring all project protocols align with corporate strategic goals and international regulatory standards.
- Direct Portfolio Quality Strategy: Guide the high-level strategy for inspection and testing requirements across the entire project portfolio, collaborating with executive leadership across departments to ensure seamless integration of quality standards from project inception.
- Oversee Systemic Risk and Compliance: Monitor macro-level quality performance and non-conformity trends across all projects. Sponsor executive-level investigations for critical issues and drive organizational-wide preventive strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sponsor Strategic Capability Building: Authorize and strategize the allocation of critical resources, including major capital investments in advanced inspection technologies (e.g., automated NDT) and long-term workforce development programs to future-proof the technical team's capabilities.
Strategy and Innovation
- Partner with executive leadership in Commercial and Engineering departments during the critical analysis of major bids and new projects, ensuring the company’s strategic capability to meet complex inspection requirements."
- Define the global performance framework (KPIs/OKRs) for project quality, driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement programs.
- Drive the use of new technologies, promoting modern NDT techniques and innovative solutions that bring strategic competitiveness.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project quality, promoting continuous improvement.
Relationship and Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the executive sponsor and senior escalation point for technical quality in major client relationships, steering committees, and cross-departmental alignments.
- Lead executive reporting, presenting global quality performance, risk profiles, and strategic achievements to the board of directors, key clients, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Ensure the clarity and alignment of quality expectations and requirements with all project stakeholders.
People Management
- Lead the Project Quality team, taking responsibility for guiding, training, developing, and managing the performance of professionals in the sector.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring a collaborative work environment focused on problem-solving.
- Manage strategy, budget, and results by defining the annual strategy and prioritizing resources and investments (such as training, audits, technology, and process improvement).
- Oversee global workforce planning and strategic talent allocation, ensuring technical teams are optimally deployed across the project portfolio based on macro-schedules and business priorities.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
Ensure that quality activities and project quality requirements are planned and executed in alignment with the Group's Health, Safety and Environmental standards and applicable legal requirements. Actively promote a strong HSE culture, ensuring that quality objectives are never pursued at the expense of employee safety, environmental protection or regulatory compliance. Identify and escalate HSE risks associated with quality activities, inspections, testing, manufacturing and project execution, and collaborate closely with HSE, Operations and Project teams to ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3.1 EDUCATION
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
● Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering or related fields, alongside a Postgraduate degree or MBA in quality and/or project.
● Desirable: NA
3.2 KNOWLEDGE/COURSES
- Advanced English proficiency
- Proficiency in executive reporting and data analytics tools, such as MS Office package
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in quality, projects, or similar fields, as well as proven experience in people management.
- Project Management.
- Expertise in ISO 9001 QMS Governance and Strategic Implementation

3.2 REQUIRED TRAININGS

- Risk Management Program (RMP)
- Occupational Health Medical Control Program (OHMCP)
