Job Responsibilities:

* Responsible for mechanical / electrical technical solution engineering for major Data Center projects across APAC.

* Develop and manage project scope from initiation to onsite delivery of systems related to diesel genset enclosures.

* Work closely with sales to define technical scope and review customer specifications and tender documents.

* Review and finalise C/D/E documents.

* Prepare technical specifications and define equipment scope of supply.

* Coordinate with factories, suppliers and contractors to align scope and obtain proposals in a timely manner.

* Define and develop electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures according to project specifications.

* Deliver end-to-end electrical / automation and mechanical design solutions supported by engineering drawings and technical documentation.

* Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to verify designs and support equipment and supplier selection.

* Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

* Review and approve technical documentation including drawings, schematics, P&IDs and datasheets.

* Define and finalise equipment scope, manage procurement alignment and raise purchase requisitions.

* Provide technical support and troubleshoot electrical, automation and mechanical systems during project execution.

* Support site installation, testing, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

* Support procurement in supplier development.

* Drive continuous improvement through design reviews and lessons learned.

* Keep updated with technical developments in the market and internal products.

* Travel overseas for business when required.

Requirements:

University / college qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the diesel engine / generator industry with a track record of successfully delivered projects and solutions.

Candidates from shipping, automation, oil & gas and power generation industries may also be considered.

Strong expertise in either electrical or mechanical genset systems such as automation, protection, cooling, fuel or ventilation.

Ability to integrate cross-disciplinary knowledge into genset enclosure designs.

Strong capability in electrical and/or mechanical engineering calculations, such as load flow, short circuit, sizing and thermal / airflow performance.

Experience conceptualising and delivering complex electro-mechanical solutions with focus on performance optimisation and cost efficiency.

Proficient in developing and reviewing technical documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams and system layouts.

Experience in data centres, switchgear and power protection systems would be an added advantage.

Proficient in 2D / 3D CAD software.

Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Proactive, collaborative and able to work effectively with customers, suppliers and project teams.

Willing to travel for onsite work when required.

Able to commit to contract duration: September 2026 to December 2027.
