Project Engineer
About this job
We are looking for an experience Project Engineer for our client, an established international company in the power sector. You will take on a pivotal role in managing and executing industrial and engineering projects, collaborate closely with sales teams, customers, distributors, and the industrial solutions team to ensure smooth project execution from feasibility studies to completion. The ideal person should be detail-oriented and a good team player.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and manage projects to ensure key milestones are achieved on schedule.
• Develop and maintain master project schedules, tracking progress against agreed timelines and milestones.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to support the effective execution of project activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional responsibilities and follow up on deliverables to keep projects on track.
• Plan and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with customers and distributors.
• Review, align, and finalize all required project documentation before delivery.
• Coordinate on-site testing and ensure a smooth handover to the aftermarket team.
• Provide first-line technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project feasibility assessments and prepare cost estimates for project management activities.
• Prepare monthly project status reports, highlighting key risks, issues, and required actions.
• Provide engineering input for third-party product submittals and technical drawings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening project execution processes.
• Coordinate with interplant teams on deliveries, factory testing, and project documentation.
• Work closely with scheduling, customer service, and production teams to provide project updates during weekly meetings.
• Attend site meetings with contractors and consultants when required.
• Oversee site installation activities to ensure timely and successful completion.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on installation activities, material approvals, and drawing submissions.
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with two to three years of relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of project management experience.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with diverse stakeholders.
