The Site Alliance Engineer is responsible for assisting the sales team by managing initial customer inquiries, assessing technical requirements, and coordinating necessary arrangements to advance sales opportunities. Acting as the first point of contact for potential customers, this role ensures timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries. After a sale is confirmed, the Site Alliance Engineer is also involved in coordinating job arrangements, including technical specifications, resource allocation, and scheduling, to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Gather and assess technical requirements to understand customer needs effectively.
- Prepare and present technical information to support the sales team’s efforts.
- Assist in the creation of proposals, quotations, and technical documents.
- Address technical questions and clarify in-house capabilities for potential customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely information is available for proposals / quotations
- Coordinate site visits or technical meetings as required.
- Manage technical aspects of job arrangements once a sale is confirmed.
- Ensure proper resource allocation, scheduling, and communication of technical requirements to relevant teams.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to resolve technical, logistic issues promptly.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including customer requirements and project specifications
- Provide regular updates to the client and sales team on project status and client request
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any technical concerns.
- Identify opportunities for additional sales or service enhancements.
Requirements:
- Technical Institute or Diploma in engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, or related field)
- Additional qualifications in Sales or Business Administration are a plus.
- Key knowledge in rotating equipment
- Familiarity with petrochemical, marine, oil and gas industry practice
- Knowledge of technical drawing software like AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- 3–5years of experience in a Sales Support, Technical Support, or Pre-Sales Engineer role.
- Proven track record in managing technical inquiries and supporting sales teams effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers directly and manage technical discussions.
- Experience in conducting product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Experience in identifying process improvements to enhance sales and technical support workflows
