Finance Executive – Business & Project Finance Operations

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Finance Executive to join our growing team and support a broad range of finance and business operations of our growing business and project portfolio.

This is a hands-on and commercially oriented role covering day-to-day transactional finance with project finance operations, revenue management, payment-platform administration, cost monitoring, procurement support and business operations.

The Finance Executive will manage high-volume customer and vendor transactions while working closely with the Finance team and cross-functional teams across the business to ensure revenue, costs, payments and project activities are properly captured and managed. As the business grows, the role will also evolve, giving you opportunities to take on new responsibilities, improve processes and contribute beyond routine finance operations.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a growing business where systems and processes continue to evolve. Beyond processing transactions, the candidate will be expected to identify discrepancies, follow through on outstanding matters and help establish practical and scalable financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Operations – Manage day-to-day billing, invoicing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations and financial records.
• Revenue & Collections – Monitor revenue, billing requirements, receivables and collections, and work with commercial and operational teams to resolve outstanding matters.
• Payment Platforms & POS – Manage and reconcile transactions, settlements, fees, refunds and chargebacks across payment gateways, merchant accounts and POS systems.
• Project Finance – Track project revenue, costs, budgets, commitments and cash flow, and support project profitability and financial analysis.
• Procurement & Vendor Management – Support purchasing and vendor-related finance activities, including PO/invoice matching, payment processing and monitoring of commitments.
• Reporting & Controls – Assist with management reporting, month-end closing, financial analysis, audits and maintenance of appropriate financial controls.
• Process Improvement – Identify gaps and inefficiencies and help develop better processes, systems, controls and reporting workflows as the business scales.
• Business Support – Work across Finance and cross-functional teams to support other finance and business-related matters as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2–4 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, with practical exposure to billing, collections, payments and reconciliations.
• Experience managing or reconciling payment gateways, merchant platforms, digital-payment systems or POS systems is preferred.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded and proactive, with the ability to understand how transactions, revenue, costs, cash flow and profitability connect.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and follow through to resolution, rather than simply processing transactions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment, with the flexibility to take on new responsibilities as the business grows.
• Experience in advertising, media, technology, robotics, retail, e-commerce or other project-based businesses will be an advantage.

You are organised, dependable and attentive to detail, but can also see the commercial meaning behind the numbers.

You understand that finance operations are not limited to processing invoices and payments. You actively follow up on missing information, investigate discrepancies, reconcile payment-platform settlements and ensure that revenue and costs are captured accurately and on time.

You are comfortable working across Finance, Sales, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, Project and Technology teams. When a transaction does not make sense, you ask the right questions and follow through until it is resolved.

You can operate effectively in an evolving environment, establish structure where processes are incomplete and help build scalable financial workflows as the business grows.

This is a hands-on finance role combining transactional finance, payment-platform administration, project finance operations and commercial business support. The successful candidate will help keep the business financially organised while developing the commercial awareness andoperational understanding required to support a growing, project-based business.
