Cloud Engineer
About this job
We are representing our client, a large IT solution provider, to look for an experienced Cloud Engineer to complement the existing team of consultants. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions while ensuring seamless integration with on-premises Windows and Linux infrastructure and robust network security.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
- Manage Windows and Linux-based environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and system performance tuning.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
- Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Automate deployments and infrastructure management using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible or Bash.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations and hybrid environments.
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including crafting technical proposals, presenting cloud solutions and providing technical input for RFPs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field with a strong Windows, Linux, and networking background.
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible scripting.
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience in pre-sales architecture, proposal writing, and technical client presentations.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, RHCE, or CCNA/CCNP will be added advantage.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in Singapore GovTech GCC environment is desirable.
