Software cum Data Engineer — AMK

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications, backend services, and data solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and systems to support business and operational requirements.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, databases, and data models.
• Build applications, scripts, and automation solutions using Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
• Develop and integrate APIs for application and data connectivity.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for applications, data pipelines, and data processes.
• Optimize software, database, and data-processing performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in software development, testing, deployment, debugging, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and security across applications and data pipelines.

Job Requirements:

• Singapore Citizens only.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in software development, data engineering, or a combination of both.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Good understanding of database design and data modelling.
• Experience with API development and system integration.
• Familiarity with software development practices, including testing, debugging, version control, and deployment.
• Experience with data integration, data-processing, or analytics tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern data technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
