Database Administrator

Role:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.

• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

• Ensure database security, including user access management and data protection.

• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

• Manage database patches, upgrades, and migrations.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.

• Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.

• Provide support for maintenance and operational activities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience in database administration.

• Proficient in SQL and database management tools.

• Knowledge of backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security management.

• Familiarity with Windows / Linux operating systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• This role will need to secure a clearance, due to the sensitivity of the project.
