Job Summary

Manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects by preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, progress claims, and monitoring project costs to ensure profitability and compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance and profitability
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions to support project bidding and budgeting
• Prepare progress claims, variation claims, and final accounts to track financial status and project changes
• Monitor project costs, variations, and profitability to maintain budget control and financial performance
• Evaluate subcontractors' and suppliers' quotations to select cost-effective and reliable partners
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works to ensure accuracy and quality compliance
• Maintain proper documentation and records for contracts, claims, and variations to support audit and project tracking
• Communicate effectively and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate project progress
• Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and AutoCAD proficiently to prepare reports and drawings
• Work independently to meet project deadlines and deliverables with minimal supervision

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field
• Relevant experience in construction or specialist contracting
• Familiarity with measurement, costing, progress claims, variations, and contract administration
