Job Summary

Join as a Mainframe Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain critical IBM mainframe applications ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise data storage solutions, including executing storage migration activities to ensure seamless data availability.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support IBM mainframe software products and storage-management technologies such as TDMS, DFSMS, DFHSM/HSM, Control Center, and Mainframe Enablers.
• Install, customize, and support operating systems and system software within the mainframe environment to maintain system stability and performance.
• Support IBM z/OS and MVS environments and associated IBM utilities to ensure operational continuity.
• Process client requests for system storage changes and modifications aligned with operational and technical requirements.
• Perform technical problem analysis and root-cause investigations to resolve system issues and enhance reliability.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and operational activities to safeguard business continuity.
• Collaborate within project teams to meet key milestones and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support activities to improve storage performance, capacity, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Assist Operations Engineering zSeries leaders by reviewing software requirements and contributing to technical direction and departmental strategy.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline.
• Relevant IBM mainframe, storage, infrastructure, or related technical certifications.
• Practical knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Copilot.
• Experience with DFSMS, DFHSM/HSM, DSS, DFP, VSAM, CA1, and RMM.
• Familiarity with Disaster Recovery, troubleshooting, and production support in business-critical environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills demonstrated in complex technology environments.
• 5+ years of experience in mainframe systems, storage engineering, or related infrastructure roles.

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm GMT+8 (Singapore time)
