Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Site Management
- Site Execution: Plan, monitor, and coordinate day-to-day site installation works performed by sub-contractors for EHV cable installation.
- Interface Management: Act as the primary liaison between civil engineering works and electrical cable jointing/laying teams to ensure smooth handovers.
- Survey & Route Design: Conduct cable route surveys with clients and relevant stakeholders, recording specific survey metrics and compiling detailed route drawing reports.
Civil & Infrastructure Oversight
- Technical Reviews: Collaborate closely with Civil subcontractor regarding temporary shoring design, Pipe Jacking, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), cable bridges, and cable support structures.
- Excavation & Permits: Prepare, submit, and clear all necessary Earth Work Permits, NPKs, and clearance requirements from relevant statutory bodies (e.g., LTA, PUB, N Parks).
Electrical Work Support
- Cable Laying & Jointing: Oversee the installation, pulling, and jointing preparation of Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables.
- Drawings Verification: Read, interpret, and cross-reference single-line diagrams, schematic layouts, and structural drawings.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- WSH Standards: Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify site hazards, and enforce stringent Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards.
- Incident Management: Investigate site issues, prepare detailed incident/progress reports, and present rectifications to the project management team.
Job Requirements
- Education: A recognized Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience:
Minimum of 2–5 years of site experience in local infrastructural projects. Experience dealing directly with SPPG cable projects, power transmission systems, or underground utility works is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
-Familiarity with deep excavation methods (Pipe jacking, HDD, trenching).
-Sound understanding of high-voltage cable systems or general power distributions.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed with government agency submission processes (LTA, PUB, BCA, NParks).
- Soft Skills: Excellent project coordination skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work under tight site constraints.
- License: A valid Singapore Class 3 driving license is preferred for site.
