Research Scientist

The Research Scientist will play a key role in designing and conducting experiments, with emphasis on protein purification and process optimization. They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to advance our company's research and production goals and objectives.

Duties:

• Design and conduct experiments to address research objectives.

• Develop and optimize protein purification protocols to ensure high purity, yield, and activity.

• Execute and troubleshoot purification processes, including chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion), TFF, filtration, and ultracentrifugation.

• Perform analytical characterization of purified proteins using techniques such as, SDS-PAGE,ELISA, Western Blot, etc.

• Stay updated on scientific advancements through literature reviews.

• Perform laboratory work, including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis.

• Interpret results, draw conclusions, and present findings through reports and presentations.

• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams on research and product development.

• Maintain accurate experimental records in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Assist in preparing research proposals, grant applications, and publications.

• Participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields.

• 3-8 years of research experience in academia or industry, with a strong track record of scientific innovation.

• Proficiency in protein purification, cell culture, and relevant laboratory techniques.

• Hands-on experience with purification techniques, including chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion), TFF, filtration, and ultracentrifugation.

• Experience in process optimization, scale-up, or technology transfer to manufacturing is preferred.

• Knowledge of GMP,ISO 9001, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing practices is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and statistical tools.

• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
